INVISTA Engineering Polymers Builds Portfolio for European and Global Customers

INVISTA, one of the world’s largest producers of polymers and fibers, continues to build and test its new polyamide products in the European and global markets.

Since its business launch last year, INVISTA Engineering Polymers has built an ever-growing product portfolio and expanded its polymer production capabilities across Europe, North America and South America. The business is attracting molders, auto makers and other OEMs with its worldwide commercial and technical support.

“Starting any business from the ground up is a huge undertaking,” said Kurt Burmeister, executive vice president of INVISTA Engineering Polymers. “It has been a long road, but with many of our initial challenges behind us, we now have a clear path toward continued product development and growth.”

As one of the world’s largest producers of polyamide polymer, INVISTA is no stranger to polyamide technology. The Engineering Polymers business has decades of technical and commercial expertise through INVISTA’s global, integrated polyamide chemical intermediate and polymer production capabilities.

“We have now developed a range of products, from feedstock to compounds, and are currently testing them in various applications to ensure they meet or exceed existing specifications,” Burmeister said.

“Our technical team has done a fantastic job not only in developing resins that are testing competitively in the marketplace, but also keeping in mind the market’s emerging sustainability focus through use of recycled products.”

European customers are served through INVISTA’s production facility in Rozenburg, Netherlands, as well as through INVISTA’s global R&D facilities and its network of reliable independent compounders.

“Most recently, we have developed grades of polyamide 6,6 that are showing excellent chemical resistance and performance at high temperatures,” said Burmeister. “Our intent is to offer value to customers through competitive products based on their specific needs.”

INVISTA Engineering Polymers offers customers high-quality, polyamide products for automotive, electrical, consumer electronics, white goods and sporting goods applications. The business seeks to offer value through a simplified product portfolio, economies of scale, supply integration, outstanding sourcing models and innovative supply chain logistics.
